Objective:

We are seeking a Programme Officer to facilitate the development, management, and implementation of programs in alignment with CBM India Trust’s strategy, adhering to CBM India’s standards and budgets through effective program management systems. To work across teams, develop cross programmes and support capacity development of programme for the assigned areas of specialization.

Key Responsibilities:

➢ Functions as the primary point of contact for projects and programs, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
➢ Plan, initiate and develop multi-year/annual plans and special initiatives, and monitor and report
the implementation.
➢ Ensure adequate documentation of assigned projects. Documenting and sharing of experiences
and good practices
➢ Ensure adherence to CBM India’s standards, guidelines and deadlines.
➢ Plan, initiate and develop multi-year/annual plans and special initiatives, and monitor and report
the implementation with project partners.
➢ Plan and coordinate financial reviews/ assessment of partners in consulting with the programme
finance team and respective line managers.
➢ Support development of inclusive programmes in coordination with partners and country office
teams.
➢ Support cross cutting initiatives from other departments in discussion with the line managers and
take forward initiatives as assigned.
➢ Co-ordinate and provide reports as required on projects for internal and external stakeholders
including funders/Donors.
➢ Assists the finance department in financial assessments and other Programme /project finance
related procedures.
➢ Preparation of detailed plans including briefing notes for project
➢ Support Fundraising team as required for preparing proposals, donor reporting, campaigns, etc.
➢ Supports to plan and organize workshops/ trainings in a time bound manner and
represent CBM at conferences, workshops and seminars when assigned.
➢ Support during crisis / emergencies / disaster response as deputed.
➢ Ensure adherence to CBM standards, guidelines and deadlines.
➢ Contribute to developing training materials in disability and development
➢ Supports line manager in analysing external trends, challenges and opportunities relevant to CBM’s
disability inclusion focus and/or requiring a programmatic response by CBM, including disaster
vulnerability, and share with internal stakeholders.
➢ Support during crisis / emergencies / disaster response as deputed.

Qualifications

Education:
➢ Graduate/PG degree in social work/development studies/development management/
Rehabilitation Science
➢ Diploma in disability management or Public Health, Development policy or Statistics

Experience:
➢ 4-6 years of working experience in the social development sector.
➢ 2-3 years’ experience in disability related multi-lateral agencies and international agencies.
➢ Experience in partnership management
➢ Experience in developing proposals for projects according to standard tools

Skills:
➢ Ability to learn and use appropriate software, leverage modern technology when applicable for
programme development and monitoring.
➢ Willingness to commit and abide to CBM India’s core values, policies and guidelines in all aspects of work
➢ Flexibility to varying work demands.
➢ Ability to work in teams and collaborate with staff at all levels.
➢ Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
➢ Good to very good communication skills in english (oral & written)
➢ Fluency in regional languages
➢ Knowledge of disability and related issues, global developments & cross cutting issues.
